SOMPO MotorSafe is a comprehensive motor insurance plan designed for low-mileage drivers in Malaysia. It offers three mileage-based plans with coverage of up to 15,000km per annum, ensuring you get the protection you need at an affordable premium. If you exceed 15,000km, you have the flexibility to top up to a full mileage plan to continue enjoying comprehensive coverage without any interruptions.
Each SOMPO MotorSafe policy includes a Bluetooth-enabled battery-powered SOMPO Tag paired with the SOMPO MotorSafe app. The tag tracks your vehicle’s mileage and provides safety assistance. In the event of a breakdown or emergency, simply press the button on the tag for two seconds, and the SOMPO helpline will contact you to offer assistance.SOMPO MotorSafe app also notifies policyholders when it’s time to top up their mileage plan, ensuring continuous coverage no matter how much you drive.
Besides, SOMPO MotorSafe offers several valuable benefits including SOMPO 24-Hour Rakan Auto Assist, a 12-month repair warranty, all-driver coverage, and special perils coverage. With SOMPO MotorSafe, you can save more without compromising on coverage.
1) Head over to SOMPO MotorSafe webpage and key in the required information. Click "Get Car Insurance Quote" to proceed.
2) Your vehicle details will be auto populated, your indicative premium will be shown at the top of the page.
3) Select SOMPO MotorSafe and select your preferred mileage plan.
Note: The SOMPO MotorSafe plan will only be available if your sum insured is more than RM50,000.
4) Upload a clear, readable photo of your vehicle's odometer reading, key in your current odometer reading and click "Next" to proceed.
5) Select additional coverages depending on your needs and budget, click "Next" again to proceed once you are satisfied with your selection.
6) Fill in the remaining required information, then click "Next" to reach the summary page.
7) Double-check all the information again, read and agree to the 'Declarations', and then proceed to make the payment.
8) Hurray, your payment is successful. A copy of your insurance certificate will be emailed to you, and your JPJ status will be updated instantly.
You can proceed to pay for your Road Tax online too via MyJPJ app without leaving your home. The whole process of renewing your insurance policy will take less than 3 minutes which really save you the hassle of driving to the nearest branch, looking for parking and waiting for your turn to be served at the branch.
You can renew your insurance online on the SOMPO MotorSafe website up to 60 days before your car insurance policy expires. Even if your car insurance policy has expired by less than 14 days, you can still complete the renewal online. If your car insurance policy has been expired for more than 14 days, please email a request for assistance to customer@bsompo.com.my.
